Ministries
Outreach
Harnett Chapel offers prayer and visitation to the sick and shut in, food to the needy, as well as a church van for those who need transportation to church. Our Pastor believes in putting God first in all decisions. One of her favorite sayings is “Let me pray about it”.
Bible Study
Bible Study is held on Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM and it is an opportunity for church and community members to increase their knowledge of the scriptures and to mature in their walk with the Lord.
Children’s Hour
Children’s Bible Time is a brief presentation scheduled during morning worship on the 1st and 3rd Sunday. The youth are also asked to recite Bible scriptures to help them learn scriptures.
Choirs
The Gospel Ensemble consist of members who desire to sing to the glory of God. They inspire and enhance the worship service. They are scheduled to practice each 1st and 3rd Saturday.
Deacon Ministry
Our Deacon Ministry assists the pastor in leading our church family and to assist the Pastor in promoting order and attendance.
Dining Committee
The committee is responsible for food preparation and serving food to feed the congregation on days we are scheduled to have food served. They also maintain cleanliness in the dining room.
Finance Committee
It is the duty of the committee to maintain financial reports of the church, count, record, and deposit all collected monies. The Financial committee makes quarterly reports.
Home Mission
The Home Mission aids in the needs of humankind both inside and outside the church. The main function is to share the word of God through personal experiences, and the telephone ministry.
Sunday School Ministry
Sunday school is a time of teaching, sharing, and learning in an atmosphere where everyone participates.
Transportation
The Transportation Ministry provides a van for transporting members and others who desire to attend church functions and who do not have their own transportation.
Trustee Ministry
The Trustee Ministry is dedicated to ensuring that the physical plant remains in good working order. The trustees represent the church and serve as coordinators of modifications or improvements on the church campus.
Ushers’ Ministry
The ushers assist with the orderly movement of worshipers at various times in the services held at the church. They also assist with receiving the Mission offering
