Ministerial Staff
Elder Paul D. Tate
Born August 16, 1959, Paul credits his mother, the late Mrs. Lena Glenn for his integrity, discipline and self-reliance. Minister Tate began fulfilling his call to ministry forty-six years ago when he joined the New Light Missionary Baptist Church as a child. He graduated from John Wesley College in 2009 where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology, while simultaneously earning a diploma in Minister in Training from the In the Light Continuing Education Center. Minister Tate is active in his church; serving faithfully on the Male Chorus and the Mass Choir. He is also a dedicated Sunday School Discussion Leader as well as leading the weekly Wednesday evening Prayer session and Bible study.
He was joined in holy matrimony to the love of his life, Deborah on Friday, June 27, 2025.
He is the proud father of two beautiful children; Jasmine and Isaiah. Minister Tate has traveled on speaking engagements, representing his church as a member “called to God” to serve in whatever capacity needed.
One of his favorite scriptures is Psalm 34:1:
I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
