Elder Tony Whiteside

Elder Tony Whiteside was born July 7, 1965 to Thomas and Dorothy Whiteside in Greensboro NC, he graduated from Greensboro Page High school in 1983, joined the US Army from 1983-1985 as an Air Traffic Controller. Graduated from NCA&TSU in 1989. Commissioned and retired in the USAF as an officer (Pilot), 1990-2008.

Military Contractor, 2010-2013 and US Postal Worker, 2013-2017.

Elder Whiteside came to the Lord while in College and attended Sanctuary Deliverance Church of the Living Word under the pastorate of the late Bishop Vander D. Purcell, in Greensboro NC. He was license (2012) and Ordained under Bishop Bennie L. Kingwood, pastor of Faith Deliverance Baptist Church in Newport News, Va in July of 2014. His mission is to preach the Gospel to every creature and to help promote the Kingdom of God in all the earth.

“No one grows, until they learn their true identity in Christ. It is this foundation that ignites the fire in us to move us forward into the purposes of God.”  His favorite scripture is 1 John 3:2-3

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”

For once a person agrees and believes what God says about them, then comes the purifying elements into our life, pushing us forward towards God’s will for our lives. Then, we can ask the question to our Father, “Now that I am your son through Christ Jesus, what do I do in the earth? Or what is my part in the kingdom?” And the Holy Spirit will respond by saying, “Do what Jesus did, He is your greatest example!”

Elder Whiteside is married to Elder Sandra Whiteside, celebrating their 30th Anniversary on 12/23/2019. They have 2 sons, Marcus and Jonathan Whiteside, 1 daughter-in-love, Nicole Whiteside, and 1 daughter, Gabrielle Whiteside.
