Elder Thomas McGilveary

 

Elder Thomas McGilveary was born and raised in Lemon Springs, North Carolina. He is the son of Earlene McGilveary Williams. He is married to Beverly Brown McGilveary. They have three children, Lashanda, Jonathan and Kenan, four grandchildren, Jawan, Janiya, Jordan and Khenadi.  Elder McGilveary was raised in a christian home and attended Murchison Chapel church as a young child. Later on in life, Elder McGilveary joined Mt. Nebo Freewill Baptist church where he was a active member of the deacon board and chairman of the trustee board for several years.  In February, 2005, Elder McGilveary preached his initial sermon.  The Subject of his sermon was “Praying to get results” from Psalms 139; 9-10.  Elder McGilveary was ordained in 2006.  In addition, Elder McGilveary is a man after God’s own heart that is truly gifted by the Holy Spirit to teach and preach the word of God.  His favorite motto is “Tell God, Thank You”.

Elder McGilveary obtained his associate degree at Central Carolina Community College and is currently working towards his bachelors in business management at Capella University. He is currently employed in field automotive manufacturing management and is also Safety Manager for his company.  He shoulders many responsibilities outside of his church and home.

Elder McGilveary has a great passion for playing the guitar (he has played with several gospel groups for many years).  Reading blue prints and doing new product launches is his passion and traveling with his wife. His hobbies include fishing, gardening, restoring old cars, and golfing when time allows.
